The meeting point will be the best possible suitable location depending on the chosen itinerary and participant’s accommodation site.

The meeting time will be flexible based on the diversity of the group, fitness levels and weather forecast.

 

The itinerary options determined by the grade of difficulty are:

 

EASY-SHORT:

Bassa d’Oles Tour: beautiful run, specially at sunset, with the last rays of sunlight.

Distance: 8.5km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 305m

Tour Artíes-Gessa-Unha-Corilha-Gessa-Artíes: excellent for fresh days or early mornings looking for the warmth of the Poi d’Unha mountain.

Distance: 7.3km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 375m

Tour Vielha-Vilac-Betlan-Aubèrt-Gausac-Vielha: very pleasant and easy to run, even the bad weather days is doable taking joy.

Distance: 10km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 270m

 

MODERATE:

Tour Vielha-Pomarola-Casau-Vielha: without reaching any summit or stepping on technical terrain, but with quite a demanding distance and elevation, it stands out because of its amazing views.

Distance: 14.5km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 810m

Val de Toran Tour from Pontaut-Canejan-Bordius-Porcingles-Canejan: beautiful jog across the most luxuriant and wild valley of Aran.

Distance: 17km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 1150m

Estanhs de Baciver Tour (Tuc de Rosari optional): high mountain environment but moderate difficulty, very pleasant at sunrise or early morning.

Distance: 12.8km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 810m

 

DIFFICULT-LONG, FAST STYLE ASCENTS:

Porthillon Tour: long and demanding run reaching the Tuc de Baretja summit across the Tuc d’Aubas ridge till Entecada and returning via Luchon hillside.

Distance: 23km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 1785m

- Tuc d’Ermèr Tour: spectacular views from the top to Val de Toran and Liat. The ascent goes trough Bedreda and the descent via Grauers.

Distance: 17km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 1400m

Montardo Tour: classic tour, gorgeous mountain, unique landscape ascending via Loseron and descending through the Restanca Hut.

Distance: 17km

Elevation gain/loss: +/- 1460m

  • Each group member taking part in this hiking route is required to possess an at date license issued by the Mountaineering Federation valid in the Pyrenees.
  • Trail running is an extraordinary pass time but it involves risks. Each member of this journey takes full responsibility of what could happen.

With the help of Montse Bacardit, biologist, nivologist and UIMLA’s mountain guide, passionate about absolutely everything related to nature, you will explore the best trails to fully enjoy this sport discipline.

Montse, switches the skis for the running shoes and the bike in the summer. Running, makes her feel integrated into nature, she feels the freedom to move through the environment and its terrains, and wants to share that feeling with every passionate trail runner navigating together through the routes of Val d’Aran or other Pyrenean valleys. She wants to show and share the beauty of our beloved territory so that you experience the best possible stay.

The itineraries, from short-distance and short-time jogs through easy trails to full days of trail running through alpine terrains, will be chosen to match perfectly with the goals of everyone taking always into consideration the mountain conditions and weather forecast.
